Your grey Macbook not garish enough for you? Well, Apple has stepped up to the plate with its refreshed Macbook line, now including a rose gold colour option.

Apple announced the Macbook refresh late yesterday, which brings several more features beyond the loud colour.

Firstly, the new laptop features Intel’s latest Core M chips as well as faster RAM. Speaking of RAM, Apple has also moved to make 8GB the standard across all models, moving on from 4GB of RAM.

What else has the company brought to the table?

“New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25% faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage makes everyday tasks feel snappier – from launching apps to opening files,” Apple claimed.

Apple says that the updated Macbook also nets an additional hour of battery life over last year’s model.

“MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing in a statement.

“Customers are going to love this update to MacBook, with the latest processors, faster graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life and a beautiful rose gold finish.”

The cheapest Macbook (Intel Core M3, 8GB RAM, 256GB flash storage) retails for US$1299.
