But before we wax lyrical about Cupertino’s latest handset, we round up the list of stockists where you can get hold of one and do it yourself.

Digicape

The reseller earlier this month allowed users to pre-order the iPhone SE, with the 16GB iPhone SE retailing at R8999, with the 64GB version priced at R10 999.

You can grab these phones from Digicape’s site.

iStore

The iStore notes that it will stock a limited number of the devices at its stores across South Africa. It’s also running a trade in deal as well, which will allow users to swap an iPhone of their choice to receive a discount on the SE.

For instance, trading an iPhone 6 for the SE means that buyers pay R2999 for the 16GB version. Trading in an iPhone 5S will mean a R5199 premium. And the 16GB iPhone SE without any trade-ins will retail at R8499.

There are other purchasing options available too; have a look at the table below for more details.

MTN

MTN was previously allowing consumers pre-order the iPhone SE through this portal, but now it has announced its list of five contracts for the iPhone SE, covering both the 16GB and 64GB versions.

Prepaid prices remain unclear, but we await MTN’s communication division’s feedback on the matter.

Takealot

One of South Africa’s biggest online stores, Takealot is currently not offering the iPhone SE. However, its has noted in a tweet that the company’s “arranging it”, but no time frame could be given for arrival.

Vodacom

Vodacom also allowed users to pre-order the 16GB iPhone SE on its online shop, but finally it has announced a list of 15 possible contracts for the iPhone SE 16GB. It seems that only the 16GB version is available as well.

The Red, Smart and uChoose packages are available, with the cheapest possible contract coming in at R399p/m on the uChoose Smart 200 and Smart S contract options.

Have a look at the full list of options here.

Other contracts are available directly via the iStore too (see the table above).
