After 12 years, there’s a brand new Doom video game out today. It’s time to jump back into Hell (or wherever) and kill all of those grotesque cybernetic demonic beings bend on mankind’s destruction in DOOM.
For those of you looking to download it, the game is 45GB on Xbox One, 44GB on PlayStation 4 (PS4), and 55GB on PC. As with most modern AAA releases, there is a day-one patch to download, which is 5.74GB on PlayStation 4, but no mention of other consoles yet. Make sure you’ve got plenty of cap for this game.

Publisher of Doom, Bethesda Softworks, decided to not send out any press review copies before the game was launch so don’t expect any writeups just yet. These should start popping up from Sunday or so internationally.
Let’s hope the game is a success otherwise, there’s going to be a lot of very sad gamers out there.
Anyone looking for a classic fix of the franchise can pick up almost all of the previous titles on Steam, Xbox.com, and even PSN. It’s gonna be a Hell of a weekend.
