“The X cam’s flagship-grade dual camera is a massive talking-point of the phone,” LG Mobile South Africa’s GM Deon Prinsloo explains.
“The camera takes memory making to the next level, by combining the option of a regular 13-megapixel lens with a 120° Wide Angle Lens that allows you to capture exactly what you see.”
Drawing from the LG G5’s design, the abovementioned 13MP snapper boasts an f/2.0 aperture with autofocus, while the wide-angle snapper features a 5MP sensor. Up front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera.
The LG X Cam also debuts with Android Marshmallow and LG’s UX 4.0 skin.
As for release dates and pricing, the LG X Cam will debut on Vodacom from 10 August 2016, and will retail for around R5499.
There’s no word on when the X Cam’s partner device — the LG X Screen — will arrive on South African shores.
