As for standout titles? We’ve got Micro Machines and the latest game in the Super Stickman Golf franchise.
Super Stickman Golf 3 (free – Android, iOS)
Noodlecake’s Super Stickman Golf franchise put the studio on the map, so we’re glad to see a third game in the franchise.
Super Stickman Golf 3 delivers the same 2D puzzle/golf gameplay, as you navigate some crazy levels in order to get your ball to the hole.
The title is free to play, but includes a premium upgrade for downloadable courses, removal of ads and increased limits for turn-based matches/course attempts. Not a bad deal.
Out There Chronicles Episode 1 (paid – Android, iOS)
Space-faring title Out There is easily one of the best mobile games available, but the latest entry takes the interactive novel route.
Chronicles uses an interactive adventure formula, initially taking place on a planet colonised by humans and then spanning the universe. But forging relationships and learning about other alien races will be key in the game, the developers note.
Out There Chronicles Episode 1 is R42 on Android and R60 on iOS.
Titan Quest hits Android (R110)
We’ve already covered Titan Quest’s initial mobile release, coming to Apple devices in May, but it’s now hit Android as well.
The game draws from the Diablo franchise, delivering an isometric perspective as you hack and slash your way through a world inspired by Greek mythology.
Titan Quest is also available on iOS for R160.
Micro Machines (free – iOS)
The classic franchise is back in the form of a free-to-play video game on Apple devices – so what does it offer?
iPhone owners can look forward to frantic racing, as you take your tiny vehicles through kitchens, pool tables, workbenches and other environments. The game also introduces a Crossy Road-style formula for unlockables, giving you a steady stream of new parts and vehicles.
Otherwise, a battle arena mode and multiplayer gameplay makes Micro Machines stand out a bit more.
