After a short beta period, Apple has finally pushed out iOS 10.1 to all, bringing minor fixes like improved transit directions and a signal fix for some networks.
However, the biggest feature is Portrait Mode on the iPhone 7 Plus, a Huawei P9-like feature that creates pleasant depth-of-field effects for portrait snaps.

The mode uses a combination of dual cameras, machine learning and more to get the best results. And much like Huawei‘s efforts, the photos are rather pleasant, although it’s occasionally prone to blurry edges as well.
Still, even if the feature is late for the iPhone 7 Plus launch, it’s good to see the handset’s dual camera setup being put to use.
