Most of the new Macbook Pro models come equipped with a “Touch Bar”, being a touch-sensitive strip that replaces the row of function keys. The Touch Bar also includes a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, allowing users to authenticate purchases and lock down their device.
The new Macbook Pro line isn’t cheap, but the Touch Bar seems rather intriguing
Don’t care for the Touch Bar? Then the entry-level 13-inch model is the one for you, being the only one without the touch strip.
Otherwise, the 13-inch Macbook uses an Intel Core i5 chip and 8GB of RAM, while the 15-inch model uses a Core i7 chip and has 16GB of RAM. All of the new laptops sport four USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Apple is also promising “up to ten hours” of battery life for the laptops.
