It doesn’t look like Sony has forgotten about its two other consoles, or has it? The company has released new updates for both the PS3 and Vita, but they don’t bring a slew of features or anything interesting at all.
The PlayStation 3 has been upgraded to the 4.81 firmware revision, which Sony states “improves the quality of the system performance”. Now if that’s not insightful, then we don’t know what is [“bug fixes and stability” – ed].

The Playstation Vita (and that PlayStatoion TV thing which Sony pretends doesn’t exist) has been upgraded to 3.63, which, you guessed it, “improves the quality of the system performance”. Sony, we wish you weren’t so in-depth with your update notes.
Over on Hackinformer, it has been reported that Sony has yet to block the PSN store with this update for those using the Henkaku exploit on PS Vita/TV.
Unless you’re running any homebrew programs, you’ll need to update your consoles in order to utilise online services. You can either force the update by going to Settings in each of the devices, or try to access the store.
