In a press release today, Apex Interactive announced that South Africa will be receiving the collector’s edition of Persona 5 on PlayStation 4. While I almost never pre-order video games, which is a hot topic due to pre-order culture, I may be breaking my rule for this one.
The collector’s edition looks quite sexy with its inclusion of a soundtrack CD, 10cm plush keychain of Morgana the Phantom Thieves cat mascot, a 64-page hardcover art book, SteelBook game case, school bag, and a collectable outer box. The outer box is, of course, the strangest piece of collectable content in the box.

There is a catch, however. Only AnimeWorx will be receiving stock of the collector’s edition. The product has yet to be listed on their website or the price revealed.
Those not interested in a full-blown bundle of Person 5 goodies can pick up the vanilla edition on PlayStation 3 or the SteelBook edition PS4. The latter will be given out to all who pre-order the game, while stocks last, of course.
Having been released in Japan last year, the game has garnered some excellent review scores.
Persona 5 will be available in South Africa on 4 April.
Update: Apex Interactive has since clarified that AnimeWorx is bringing in the Persona 5 collector’s edition themselves.
