What’s new on Xbox One backwards compatibility list?

Xbox One Battlefield 3

Microsoft has been on a roll when it comes to making Xbox 360 games backwards compatible on Xbox One. In fact, the company has roughly 300 compatible games.

But the past week has seen quite a few more titles added to the backwards compatibility list, starting with EA games.

EA faithful will be glad to know that Dragon Age: Origins, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 (disc only) are now compatible.

EA isn’t the only publisher getting in on the action though, with The Splatters, Ghostbusters, Strania and Scrap Metal also joining the fray.

Xbox One backwards compatibility has grown in leaps and bounds since its launch

As for actual availability in South Africa, it appears that Dragon Age: Origins isn’t available, nor is Scrap Metal and Strania. Best switch regions then…

It marks a welcome start to 2017, especially after the bonanza that was 2016.

Last year saw Red Dead Redemption, Oblivion, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: World at War, the Bioshock trilogy, Skate 3, the Mass Effect franchise, Blue Dragon and the Left 4 Dead games hit the service.

Some of the most requested Xbox 360 titles are Skyrim (despite the remaster), Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the Modern Warfare titles, GTA IV, LA Noire and Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD Collection.
