PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold both deliver a selection of free games every month. Some months can feature an amazing collection of titles, but others… well, they can be like next month. At least in the case of Xbox Live Gold.
April’s selection of Xbox One titles will see gamers getting the visually striking but repetitive Ryse: Son of Rome (from 1-30 April) and the solid Walking Dead: Season Two (16 April – 15 May).

Meanwhile, we’ve also got two Xbox 360 games as usual (being backwards compatible), in the form of the well-received Darksiders (1-15 April) and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (16-30 April). The latter, of course, was released before the series took a dive (heh) with Assassin’s Creed 3.
It’s not necessarily worse than last month’s selection then, which was headlined by Layers of Fear and Evolve on Xbox One. Borderlands 2 and Heavy Weapon on Xbox 360 completed last month’s lineup.
Either way, we eagerly anticipate April’s PlayStation Plus lineup of titles…
