Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) has been running for years now, primarily being devoted to (you guessed it) developers.
Now, the company has announced the date for this year’s edition, taking place from 5-9 June.
No ad to show here.
It might be a developer conference, but that doesn’t mean consumers are left out in the lurch.
WWDC often plays host to Apple’s operating system news, with last year seeing Apple fully reveal iOS 10, a renamed OS X (MacOS) and the accompanying Sierra update, TVOS 2 for Apple TV and a new version of its Watch OS.
In other words, those watching WWDC 2017 should expect iOS 11, a MacOS update and news on other device updates.
What about hardware announcements though? We haven’t seen hardware reveals at WWDC for a few years now, but I wouldn’t put it past Apple to reveal a new Mac Pro or even Macbook variations. After all, the trashcan Mac Pro was revealed at 2013’s WWDC…
Otherwise, conventional wisdom says we can expect new iPhones in September/October.
