Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) takes place this week, with today’s keynote address being the most important session for consumers.
Usually, the company announces software updates for its various platforms, but it seems like WWDC 2017 is focused on hardware as well.

In any event, you’ll want to visit the Apple website to watch the stream, kicking off at 10am PDT/7pm SAST.
It’s worth noting though that the stream predictably uses Apple‘s proprietary streaming tech, which “requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10”.
You’ll need to visit the Apple website with an Apple product or Microsoft Edge to watch WWDC 2017
It’s also possible to stream via second, third or fourth generation Apple TV, provided that you’ve got software 6.2.
In terms of expectations, Apple generally uses WWDC to deliver new iOS and MacOS updates. But the past few weeks have seen rumours of new iPads (including a 10.5-inch model), a refreshed Macbook, an updated Macbook Pro line (despite doing so late last year) and a Siri Speaker to take on Google Home/Amazon Echo.
Now, about refreshing the trashcan Mac Pro…
In other words, if most of the hardware is indeed confirmed, it’ll be Apple’s most packed WWDC in a long time.
One thing we’re not counting on though, is a new iPhone or three. Generally speaking, Apple announces these in September or October, although the iPhone SE was announced in March 2016.
