We all know that the Galaxy Note 8 is coming later this year, following Samsung‘s cycle of a flagship phone in the first half of the year and a Note device in the second half. Now, the Korean firm has revealed a launch date for what we presume is the phablet.
Samsung used Twitter to confirm that it will be holding an Unpacked event on 23 August 2017, showing the outline of a thin bezel smartphone and a stylus in an attached image. “Do bigger things,” reads the tagline on the image, presumably alluding to a larger phone.

Adding fuel to the Note fire (no pun intended, for once) is the fact that last year’s model and 2015’s Galaxy Note 5 were revealed in August.
As for possible features, we expect an Exynos 8895 processor, 4GB of RAM, an S-Pen stylus with more functions, thin bezels and a high screen/body ratio. However, rumours claim that the Galaxy Note 8 will also pack a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup.
It’s believed that the dual-camera system will enable lossless zoom and depth-related trickery. Still, we’ll need to wait until 23 August to find out.
