KFC is celebrating 30 years in China, so how do you think they’d celebrate? Ticker tape parade? Ridiculous marketing campaign? A ton of specials? How about a smartphone made in conjunction with Huawei…
Yep, the fast food chain recently announced (h/t: The Verge) that it would be selling 5000 of these smartphones, featuring a red colour scheme and the KFC 30th anniversary branding on the back.

The phone appears to be based on the Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus, so that means a budget Snapdragon 435 octacore chip, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 5.5-inch 720p display, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and 12MP/8MP camera pairing.
KFC and Huawei have also seen it fit to include the restaurant’s app and the K-Music app, which lets users make their own music playlists in KFC stores.
The smartphone will apparently have a price tag of RMB1099 (R2146 as a straight conversion). You could buy 67 Street Wise Two meals for that price — just saying.
