The Nokia 8 has been the subject of many a rumour in the past two months, following HMD Global’s successful launch of the budget-minded Nokia smartphones.
The reports have delivered two constants at the very least, in the form of the Snapdragon 835 chip and dual camera setup. But what will the phone actually look like? We haven’t a clue, until now.

Serial leaker Evan Blass has published the first render of the Nokia 8, showing a phone that looks similar to the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 (at least when you look at the front). The front shows a physical home key of sorts, which includes a fingerprint scanner. This is flanked by capacitive back and multitasking keys. Don’t expect super thin bezels here, but the phone looks solid enough from this angle.

Move to the back and we’ve got confirmation of a dual-camera system with dual-LED flash from the looks of it. But the other big detail here is the Zeiss branding, coming just a few weeks after HMD confirmed that they’d be using Zeiss lenses again. We also notice a black spot above the flash, although we’re not quite sure what it could be (if it indeed is something notable).
It’s believed that HMD is packing 13MP cameras on the back, the aforementioned Snapdragon 835 chip, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and a 2560×1440 display (or thereabouts). Venturebeat claims that the device will be revealed on 31 July.
