LG V30 will let you copy manual settings from photos on the web

LG is continuing its slow tease of the V30 smartphone, having revealed camera details and screen information before. Now, the latest tease sees the company touting its upgraded Android skin.

But the best part about the new UX 6.0 might just be the support for a tool called Graphy. LG explains what it’s all about.

“Graphy, which can be accessed in the camera’s Manual Mode, gives any shutterbug professional quality photography capabilities,” the company wrote on its website.

“With Graphy, users can choose from among a portfolio of professional shots, each with a different style and mood or they can download photos taken by professionals from the Graphy website or mobile app and apply those metadata presets — such as white balance, shutter speed, aperture and ISO — to photos taken with the V30.”

In other words, it looks like the LG V30 might be ideal for those wanting to learn manual photography.

Other camera-related features in UX 6.0 include a GIF creator and a movie creation feature that lets you create montages from photos and videos.

The LG V30 will be packing an interesting manual photography feature, but there’s plenty more to be had

The South Korean firm also detailed display-related additions to UX 6.0.

“The Second Screen in the LG V20 has evolved to become Floating Bar on the V30. The semi-transparent Floating Bar allows for quick access to frequently used functions and can be dragged completely off the FullVision display when not needed,” it explains.

“When powered off, the Always-on Display is even more customizable than before. The AOD now not only shows the clock, it can also be set to display Quick Tools, Music Player or a personal photograph as well.”

LG also claimed that security has been beefed up on the V30 and UX 6.0. For starters, it says that the V30 can be unlocked via facial recognition on the front camera, even when the display is off.

Voice recognition is another feature touted by the company, being supported by Qualcomm tech for always-on functionality.

“Voice recognition uses a combination of the user’s voice and self-generated keywords (ideally three to five syllables combined) to unlock the V30 without the need to press a button or swipe the screen.”
