The Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Porsche Edition devices are expected to hit South Africa this month, bringing some interesting features to the table.
Now, MTN has published its latest catalogue, also revealing its prepaid pricing for the two smartphones.

The yellow network revealed a price of R17 379 for the Mate 10 Pro and R23 449 for the Mate 10 Porsche Design variant.
Of course, prepaid prices via networks are usually a little steeper than the manufacturer’s recommended retail price. So I reckon that the final RRP could be R16 999 and R22 999.
Prefer a contract? Well, the phones are going for R699 and R899 a month on a Made for Me M contract.
In any event, the Mate 10 Pro and Porsche Design variant both pack a Kirin 970 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 4000mAh battery. The two devices also feature a 20MP and 12MP dual camera setup on the back.
But the most hyped feature has to be the inclusion of a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) in both phones. It’s claimed that the silicon improves offline functionality for machine learning and speeds up camera and system operations.
Hoping for a 3.5mm jack? Unfortunately both models lack one. It’s a pity, seeing that the vanilla Mate 10 (not SA-bound) has one.
Otherwise, the Porsche Design device differs from the Mate 10 Pro by having 256GB of storage instead of 128GB.
