WhatsApp is the most popular mobile messaging platform in the world right now, being available on a variety of smartphone platforms.
But the mobile world moves at a fast pace and the Facebook-owned service will be killing support for three platforms on 31 December 2017.

Yes, WhatsApp users on BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8 (and older) will need a new smartphone if they want to keep using WhatsApp in the new year.
Got a Nokia Series 40 phone (like the Asha range)? Then your phone will be supported until 31 December 2018. Got an Android 2.3 (or older) smartphone? You’ve got until 1 February 2020.
“While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future,” WhatsApp’s team wrote in a blog post at the time.
“This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.”
