The Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra were the two best mobile offerings from the Japanese firm at CES 2018, delivering some solid upgrades over last year’s models.
We already know about international availability of the phones, but what about South Africa? Well, the company’s local representatives told Gearburn that you can expect a local launch in April 2018.

The two phones share a mid-range but efficient Snapdragon 630 processor, a USB Type C port, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 23MP main camera that’s been a fixture on recent mid-range Sony phones.
Otherwise, the standard XA2 offers 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 5.2-inch full HD LCD screen, a 3300mAh battery and an 8MP selfie shooter.
The XA2 Ultra ups the ante with 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage, a 6-inch full HD LCD screen, a 3580mAh battery and two selfie shooters. In the case of the selfie cameras, you’ve got a 16MP OIS-enabled shooter and an 8MP super wide-angle camera (120 degree field of view).
