Sony has revealed its latest upcoming console, a new version of the original PlayStation.
The console is an exact replica of the 1994 PlayStation, but is 45% smaller, according to the company.

What does that mean? It’s a miniature, and very cute PlayStation.
The PlayStation Classic, is it will be called, will come with 20 preloaded games, the “best titles from a game-changing era”.
Final Fantasy VII, TEKKEN 3, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 and Jumping Flash! have been confirmed thus far.
The console also comes with two full-sized replica controllers that plug into the console. There are two “virtual” memory cards for storage and it “comes with an HDMI cable to connect to your TV”.
There are a few quirks however. The iconic “open” button doesn’t open the disk tray though, but rather allows you to change games on the device.
The PlayStation Classic is available for pre-order and goes on sale on 3 December 2018.
If you’re thinking this makes a great novelty Christmas present, make sure you also get a USB AC adaptor with a 5V/1.0A output — you’ll need one to play, and it’s not included.
