Forget smartphones and televisions, LG has revealed a new capsule-based craft beer machine called LG HomeBrew.
The device essentially allows users to make their very own craft beers using capsule based ingredients, in a similar vein to capsule coffee makers.

“With a set of single-use capsules — which contain malt, yeast, hop oil and flavoring — and the press of a button, users can relax as LG HomeBrew automates the whole procedure from fermentation, carbonation and aging to serving and cleaning,” explained the company in a press release.
The device uses a “optimized fermentation algorithm” which “intelligently controls the fermenting process”, making the beer produced by HomeBrew high quality.
“The clever capsule system also removes all the cleaning-related frustrations associated with traditional home-brewing method,” LG reveals.
According to LG, HomeBrew takes about two weeks to brew five litres of beer.
There are five flavour options available at present:
- Hoppy American IPA
- Golden American Pale Ale
- Full-bodied English Stout
- Zesty Belgian-style Witbier
- Dry Czech Pilsner
LG HomeBrew will be unveiled at CES 2019.
