“The X-T30 combines a new sensor and processing engine with an Auto Mode Selector and focus point lever to help both the amateur and professional alike,” said Fujifilm in a press release.
The camera weighs 383g and features the X series’ traditional vintage design, along with a new Focus Lever for “shifting a focus point easily, intuitive operability of the tilting 3” touch-screen panel”.
It also shows off improvements to AF tracking and face/eye detection, which was already quite outstanding with the X-T3.
“The AF algorithm has been further improved from that used in the flagship FUJIFILM X-T3,” the company noted.
Other features include:
- 26.1 MP, X-Trans CMOS 4 image sensor
- Continuous shooting up to 30 fps
- 4K video recording
The camera is set to launch in SA this March, and will come in Silver and Black variations only, though Fujifilm says a Charcoal Silver version will eventually hit the market.
Fujifilm SA cannot confirm what the X-T30 will cost in South Africa.
The company also released a new, 155g 16mm lens, wich “boasts high-speed AF performance, making it ideal for casual snapshots and landscape photography”.
