Samsung’s Galaxy S10 was the first phone to feature the fast eUFS 3.0 (embeded Universal Flash Storage) standard, but now the company has announced plans to ramp up production of the module for other devices.
This begins with its first 512GB eUFS 3.0 storage chip, which it claims is 20 times faster than your average microSD card and four times faster than a SATA-based SSD found in laptops.

In terms of real numbers, that’s a write speed of 410MB/s, up by 50%, while there’s a 36% performance increase in terms of input-output operations per second, or IOPS.
And as for reads, you’re looking at speeds in excess of 2.1GB/s — double the speed of Samsung’s older generation eUFS 2.1 storage.
The company will debut its 128GB and 512GB modules this month, but it’s also planning 256GB and 1TB modules by the second half of 2019.
