Seemingly not content with adding more than seven new smartphones to its A series lineup, Samsung late last week, alongside a plethora of other A devices, debuted the Samsung Galaxy A20e.
Like the S10e, it’s a smaller, more compact version of the Galaxy A20 budget device.

It features a 5.8 inch display rather than the 6.4 inch screen of its larger sibling. That does mean it sacrifices sAMOLED screen technology for LCD, but it does keep the same resolution of 1560×720.
It also features an Infinity-V notch, housing an 8MP snapper. At the rear, there’s a dual 13MP wide and 5MP ultrawide snapper.
Internally, the phone features an eight-core Exynos 7884, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. But thanks to its smaller footprint, the A20e’s battery is chopped down to 3000mAh from the 4000mAh of the A20.
Samsung’s also employing USB-C like on its other A series device, and a headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint reader and 15W charging are all present too.
The company also announced the A40, a 5.9 inch 2220×1080 display device, with Infinity-U display, 25MP selfie camera, a rear camera pair of 16MP and 5MP, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and a 3100mAh battery.
It’s not clear if the Galaxy A20e, or A40, will make it to South Africa. Pricing details are also non-existent at the time of writing.
