The debut of Apple’s 2019 iPhone devices may only be in September — as is traditional — but that doesn’t mean the internet’s going to stop talking about their possible features well in advance.

Like Christmas carols in the mall, the news just keeps hitting our ears earlier and earlier each year. With that in mind, we take a look at all the news, rumours and gossip surrounding the 2019 iPhone family, which could bear the name iPhone 11 or iPhone XI, as it emerges from the creases of social media and online forums.
Forget lavender, Twitter wants a Thanos-coloured iPhone
Once again, we have to thank Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman for this one.
A tweet on Tuesday revealed the possible shades for the 2019 iPhone XR, including the lavender and green variants hinted at on Macotakara last week.
It’s rumoured that the shaded shattered glass fragments are the remains of prototypes.

The shades are surprisingly subtle though, and lend credence to the fact that this year’s iPhones may not be as vibrant as the last generation. That said, we wouldn’t rule out a surge in popularity if the Thano… I mean, lavender variant is an actual possibility.
Looks like that weird square camera bump rumour may be true
In January, OnLeaks suggested that the 2019 iPhones could sport a weird square camera hump. This week, new information published to Twitter by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman substantiates this claim.

Notably, the case designs don’t seem to discriminate based on how many cameras each device flaunts. The 2019 iPhone XR is set to boast two rear snappers, but its body will nevertheless sport a square camera hump based on the case designs.
2019 iPhone XR to sport two new colours
…this at the expense of two existing shades. Coral and Blue will be sacrificed for Green and Lavender, Japanese supply chain blog Macotakara reports. This is in an effort to attract customers. The other four colours – white, black yellow and red — will likely remain.
2019 iPhones to sport more than one camera, reverse charging, Apple A13 chip
Thanks to a report by Bloomberg, we have a fairly good idea of how many iPhones to expect in 2019.
Quoting “people familiar with the matter”, the three phones are codenamed D43, D44 and N104 — the 2019 iPhone XR successor. The 2019 iPhone XR successor will sport two cameras, one more than the current model.
This additional snapper is said to boast “increased zoom”. The iPhone XS and XS Max successors will both feature three rear cameras — one of which is likely to be an ultra-wide snapper.
The next-gen Apple A13 chip is already in production, Bloomberg’s sources reported
Unsurprisingly, the chipset is already in production by TSMC and will be called the Apple A13.
We’re not sure if the “Bionic” tag will return. And finally, the flagship duos’ bodies are said to be half a millimetre thicker, which could suggest a larger battery for both, or the need for more room for their camera sensors. Or, it could possibly be due to the inclusion of reverse charging, similar to what the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 offers.
