Though Sony did not announce any new information about the console, which many have dubbed the PS5, it took the opportunity to outline specs revealed last month.
This includes backwards compatibility, 8K resolution, 3D audio and disc support.
The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki posted a video of the presentation on Twitter, which compares the PS4 Pro’s loading speed with the PS5.

From the footage, it is clear that upcoming console will feature much more processing power than its predecessor.
Sony is yet to reveal the next generation console’s release date or price but did state that PS4 will continue to be the company’s “engine of engagement and profitability for the next three years”.
