Could popular hero shooter Overwatch be heading the Nintendo Switch in the near future? That’s certainly what this accessory has many believing.
Spotted by Twitter user Wario64, an Overwatch-themed Nintendo Switch case made by PowerA has been spotted on Amazon this week.

The listing has since been taken down, but it’s been branded as “officially licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment”. That’s about as official as you get.
The case itself utilises Overwatch‘s orange and black colour scheme, with the logo emblazoned in the centre of its front cover. The little zip handles are also tiny, utterly adorable Switch controllers.

Overwatch, which debuted on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2016, isn’t available on the Nintendo Switch. But the console’s growing popularity has seen a slew of AAA titles arriving in recent months.
Soon CD Projeck RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available on it. The likes of Skyrim and Mortal Kombat 11 have also been added to the growing list of major titles.
Of course, the Switch does have its exclusive like Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Maker 2, but a competitive title like Overwatch coming to a portable console like the Switch just sounds like a brilliant idea. Considering Overwatch‘s ability to run on even the most modest of hardware does suggest it’s a possibility.
But can we really be certain that Blizzard and Nintendo believe the same thing based on an accessory? Even if not, that case surely is cute enough to sell like hotcakes.
