Nintendo on Tuesday revealed a new update for Super Mario Maker 2 that adds support for online multiplayer mode with friends.
With version 1.1.0, players can find Multiplayer Co-op mode and Multiplayer Versus mode under “Play with Friends” and “Nearby Play”.
No ad to show here.
This means that players can now play with their friends across the internet. The game previously matched players randomly.
“Version 1.1.0 adds a list of Official Makers in the Leaderboards section where you can find new courses from them as well as special ones created for collaborations or special events,” Nintendo further noted on Twitter.

The company also hinted that more updates to courses on Super Mario Maker 2 are in the works.
