Fujifilm South Africa on Wednesday announced the launch of its latest flagship mirrorless camera, the Fujifilm X-T4.
Following in the footsteps of its X-T3 predecessor, the new camera boasts a range of updated features, including improved AF and battery life.

Additionally, the X-T4 features in-body stabilisation too, a feature that was previously exclusive to Fujifilm’s X-H1 camera.
“To help improve the shooting experiences, there’s also an ultra-fast focal plane shutter unit, newly developed for the X-T4 to be durable and quiet,” Fujifilm said in a press release.
According to the company, the X-T4’s shutter is also 30% quieter than the X-T3 and features a new autofocus algorithm as well.
“Powering the X-T4 is the new NP-W235 battery with capacity approximately 1.5 times that of the older NP-W126S battery,” Fujifilm further noted.
This means that the device can shoot between 500 and 1700 frames depending on its battery mode settings.
The 26.1MP camera with X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 also features Full HD 4K video recording, two SD card slots and a “movie optimized control” button that allows photographers to switch between still shooting and video mode.
The Fujifilm X-T4 body will go on sale for R26 000 this April. Prospective buyers will also be able to purchase the camera with a 18-55mm f/2.8-4 zoom lens for R31 000.
