Olympus on Tuesday revealed its latest interchangeable lens camera in the form of the OM-D E-M1 Mark III.
With its new TruePic IX processing engine and 20.37 MP Live MOS sensor, the OM-D E-M1 Mark III features the “world’s best 7.5 shutter speed steps of compensation”, allowing for high-resolution images.

Additionally, the new camera is freezeproof, dustproof and splashproof thanks to its solid and sealed magnesium alloy body.
The camera also features Advanced Face Priority and Eye Priority AF systems along with a new Starry Sky AF system as well.
“A new algorithm was developed to enable accurate focusing even on the tiniest stars shining in the night sky, enabling ultra-high-precision autofocusing,” Olympus noted in a press release.
The compact and lightweight device further boasts wireless connectivity and support for 4K video recording too.
Both the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III body and OM-D E-M1 Mark III 12-40mm lens kit will go on sale at the end of February for $1800 and $2500 respectively.
