After Apple replaced the 15-inch MacBook Pro with a larger 16-inch version in 2019, the company could do something similar with the 13-inch model.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo as cited by 9to5Mac, a 14.1-inch model could replace the current smallest device in the range, brining with it mini-LED display technology.

These panels are said to offer wider contrast ratios, richer colour reproduction and better battery life.
Interestingly, Ming-Chi Kuo also noted that other devices could receive the mini-LED treatment in 2020, including iPads and iMacs.
