Following the September announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, the price for the device in South Africa has been confirmed by an online pre-order listing.
On 23 September Samsung unveiled its S20 Fan Edition, a new Galaxy series device that offers fans’ most requested features at a more accessible price point.
No ad to show here.
However, details for the local launch have not been easy to come by. An initial tweet by Samsung Mobile South Africa set the price at R17 999 for the device, but was deleted.
Galaxy S20 FE price in South Africa
But a listing on Samsung’s local e-commerce website now confirms that the Galaxy S20 FE will cost R17 995 in South Africa.
This is for the 4G/LTE version on the phone with 128GB of storage, with no option for the 5G version at the time of writing.
In terms of colour options, South Africans can choose between Cloud Navy, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, and Cloud Red.
The smartphone features a triple camera, a 6.5-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4500mAh battery.

When does the Galaxy S20 FE launch in South Africa?
Pre-orders for the device are currently open on the Samsung website.
Based on the shipping date for pre-orders, it looks like the full retail launch for the phone in South Africa is 15 October.
