HP has announced a new series of affordable Chromebooks that will launch in South Africa in March.
The new range is aimed at students and educators, but will appeal to anyone looking for affordable laptops running ChromeOS.

The range includes the Chromebook 14 G7, HP Chromebook x360 11 G4 Education Edition, HP Chromebook 11 G9 Education Edition, and HP Chromebook x360 11M G4 EE.
The Chromebook 14 G7, aimed at teachers, features a 14-inch display, Wi-Fi 6 support, 8GB of RAM, and a wipeable keyboard.
It also features a durable design that includes reinforced USB-C ports and the ability to withstand spills up to 350ml.
Meanwhile, the HP Chromebook x360 11 G4 Education Edition has a 360-degree hinge. This allows you to use the device in tablet mode along with an optional USI Garaged Pen.
Like the Chromebook 14, it also features Wi-Fi 6 support.
New HP Chromebooks price in South Africa
Indicative pricing for the range of Chromebooks shows that they will range between R5 000 and R7 500.
Exact pricing will be finalised closer to the launch.
However, at the time of writing, HP providing the following indicative prices:
- Chromebook 14 G7: R6 000
- HP Chromebook x360 11 G4 Education Edition: R7 500
- Chromebook 11 G9 Education Edition: R5 000
- HP Chromebook x360 11M G4 EE: R6 000
All laptops will be available in March.
