After its international launch last year, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is finally coming to South Africa — with its local launch date and price confirmed.
The highly anticipated flagship is packed with features, including a high-resolution camera, impressive eye-tracking technology, and 8GB of RAM.

Other features include 5G support, fast wireless charging, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
As with other Huawei launches from 2020 and beyond, it does not feature Google Mobile Services.
However, it does feature Huawei’s EMUI 11 Android-based operating system, which enables a series of collaborative features with other Huawei devices.

So how much will the phone cost when it launches on 1 April?
The Huawei Mate Pro will have a price of R19 999 when it launches. It will be available in the Mystic Silver and Black options.
The Huawei Online Store is running a pre-order special for the first 200 customers. By paying R500 for the pre-order, customers receive a R1 500 discount on the purchase price.
They will also receive a pre-order bundle which includes the new Freebuds 4i, the GT 2e smartwatch, a Huawei Smart Scale, and the Huawei VIP Service.
