Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the Curve allows users to track precious items or people.
“The versatile Curve GPS tracker builds on our existing IoT platforms that provide meaningful solutions to bring a light to everyday living, whether it’s to find a misplaced school blazer, keep up with kids whereabouts, or to track if furry friends have roamed a bit further than they should,” says Vodacom’s managing executive of products and services, Johnny Dos Santos.
The Curve measures 16.4mm in height and 42.1mm in width, and weighs 30 grams. It uses a Vodafone Smart SIM embedded in the device and connects to the Vodafone Smart App.
The SIM allows for roaming in over 100 countries globally.
Using a GPS signal, the Curve keeps track of any items it accompanies.
This includes keys, laptops, bags, and even pets and other people.
There are four different tracking modes to choose from. Users can track the device in real-time and check its location history.
Users can also set up customisable location areas so that you receive an alert if the Curve exists these areas.
If it’s unable to connect to a GPS signal, the Curve will use Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth connections to pinpoint its location.
It has a water resistance rating of IP67. This means it can be submerged up to one metre for 30 minutes.
