Nintendo made Pokémon Unite in collaboration with Tencent Games. It is the first-ever MOBA-style Pokémon game to be released.
The game takes place on Aeos Island where players compete against each other in the Unite Battle tournaments.
In Unite Battles, players team up in groups of five and must work together to score the highest number of points before the clock stops ticking.
To score points, players must gather Aeos energy by defeating opposing Pokémon creatures and deposit the energy in the opposing team’s goal zones.
Battles take place in various arenas with different rules and players can evolve their Pokémon to unlock new abilities.
The game includes popular Pokémon such as Charizard, Greninja, and Pikachu. Each Pokémon offers a unique role and statistics that reflect its play style.
While the game is free-to-play, players can make in-game purchases such as a season battle pass.
Players who buy the game’s premium pass will also have the chance to earn extra rewards such as Pokémon character costumes.
