Xbox said the new headset offers a quality gaming experience in the entry-level category.
The wired headset shares a lot of design similarities with the existing Xbox Wireless Headset.
It features a simple black design with an adjustable headband and large ear cushions. It has on-ear controls for volume and muting on its side and an adjustable microphone.
However, as a wired headset, it comes with a neon green cable, a 3.5mm headphone connector, and doesn’t require batteries.
The headset supports high fidelity and spatial sound technology including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X.
It is compatible with Xbox Series X and S, as well as Xbox One consoles. The headset also works with Windows 10 PCs.
Like the wireless version, it comes with audio customisation through the Xbox Accessories app.

The local price for the headset will start from R1 199.
Xbox said the product is now available for pre-order. According to Xbox, select retailers will offer it locally.
