Fitbit has announced its latest fitness tracker — the Charge 5, which the company calls its most advanced tracker yet.
The wearable includes several features that were previously only available on the companies smartwatches, including an EDA sensor and ECG app.

It also comes with six months of Fitbit Premium included for free for new and returning members.
In addition to EDA and ECG scanning, the device can track sleep, heart rate, stress, skin temperature, and SpO2.
While the EDA and ECG features will only be available in certain regions, the Fitbit website confirms that South Africa is included in the rollout.
Depending on which features you use, the Charge 5 gives you up to seven days of battery life.
While it features a thinner and slimmer design, its display is more striking than previous versions thanks to the colour AMOLED touchscreen display with notably increased brightness from the previous model.
The tracker also comes with 20 workout modes, exercise recognition, and the ability to estimate your VO2 max.
In terms of non-fitness features, the device gives you the ability to view notifications and customize the watch face. Android users will also be able to use the quick reply feature on the device.
At the Charge 5’s launch, Fitbit also promoted new features for its Premium app subscription. This includes the new Daily Readiness Score, which helps users assess whether they should use the day to recover instead of exercising further.
