The Nintendo Switch OLED Model now has a price for South Africa as the local distributor opened pre-orders for the latest version of the portable console.
The Switch OLED was announced in July and sports a 7-inch OLED touchscreen. It also comes with an adjustable stand and a wider dock with a new wired LAN port.

It comes in two colours: the traditional Red & Blue version, as well as a new White version.
The preorder listing has revealed that the local price for the device will be R7 999.
This sets it at R1 000 more than the standard switch model, currently listed at R6 999. However, when the console first launched in South Africa, it was listed for between R5 299 and R5 999.
In August, the original model underwent a permanent price reduction, seemingly to make way for the OLED model.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model is set to launch in South Africa on 8 October.
