Canon takes filmmaking to a new level: CN-E14-35mm, CN-E31.5-95mm lens

Canon, on a quest to redefine the world of imaging, has introduced two lenses for high-end and HDR cinema productions.

The CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L alongside the CN-E31.5-95mm comes with a quick aperture that creates just the right amount of shallow depth of field leaving the main subject to be the focal point.

Answering most demands in terms of focal length in cinema production, the model offers high optical performance to create sharp consistent images for 4K and 8K capture.

Both the CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L and CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7 L prime lenses are coupled with 11 iris blades to produce a sensational bokeh effect alongside a soft defused light as a result.

The CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L and CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7 L are flexible lenses which achieve warm true to life skin tone reproduction alongside a wide range of other compelling imagery.

Their interchangeable mount design enables the lens to be switched between EF and PL mounts which make the lenses the first in Canon’s cinema range to make use of Canon’s interchangeable relay kit.

This enables them to be switched from super 35mm to full frame and back again at any Canon authorized service centre.

With a weight at 3.3kg and 3.5kg, the CN-E14-35mm T1.7 L and CN-E31.5-95mm T1.7 L offer a precise mechanical design in weight perfectly versatile for shooting, especially in tight filming environments.
