The feature updates frequently between sunrise and sunset with a series of highly specific playlists made for different music lovers.
What makes it interesting?
Spotify says the feature is hyper-personal, and a tad dynamic and has seen a 17,000% search spike last year in selected markets due to a viral social media moment.
You get new tracks at every update, plus a new title that sets the mood of your daylist.
Globally, some of the top titles are nostalgia 2010s, nostalgia 2000s and laid-back chilling. The relatability of these titles adds to the overall appeal of daylist, helping you understand more about your taste in music—and express your unique audio identity.
How to find, save, and share daylist
Find: daylist is available to both Free and Premium users in South Africa at spotify.com/daylist.
Simply search ‘daylist’ on devices where Spotify is available to unlock your daylist.
Daylist updates multiple times a day, and you can view when your next update will be from the playlist page on mobile.
Save: If you’re loving a specific daylist playlist, save it and make a copy by tapping the three-dot menu, scrolling down to “Add to playlist,” then tapping “New playlist,” and voila. It will be saved in your Library.
(A word to the wise: If you don’t save it prior to the next update on your daylist, it’ll be gone with the wind—so don’t delay.)
Share: daylist is all about expressing your individuality, so we’ve built shareability into the playlist experience like never before. Choose from three different share card options:
- A ready-made screenshot of your daylist
- A social media sticker that captures the essence of your daylist
- A changing share card with up to four different background graphics depending on the time of day you post your daylist
