NanoFlowcell’s Quant F, Quantino are merging performance with zero emissions [gallery]

Motorburn has seen its fair share of electrics, from Renovo’s Shelby prototype to Chevrolet’s bolt concept. Many are bold as they are beautiful but they’re usually stuck in concept phase. Nonetheless, they are worth dreaming and drooling about.

In a move to demonstrate the power and elegance of flow cell technology, NanoFlowcell recently showcased its latest toys at the Geneva Motor Show.

The company behind these ambitious roadsters is the same player that introduced the Quant E last year at the Geneva Motor Show. Not to be confused with “quaint” because there anything but.

NanoFlowcell is on a mission to fuse enormous performance and environmental sustainability. And, boy, does it seem to be doing just that! Updated from last year’s E, the full-electric Quant F model can reach speeds of more than 300 km/h, with a range of 800 km.

The company also introduced the Quantino which is a low-voltage concept car. Operating on a rated voltage of only 48 V, the Quantino is said to generate an output of four times 25 kW/136 hp with a combination of nanoFlowcell, buffer system and electric motors. It can go up to 200 km/h and travel 1 000 km.

“With these new Quant models, we are ushering in a new generation of electromobility. And yet, the scope of the NanoFlowcell is much bigger. To recognise this and advance it systematically is the job ahead of us for the coming months and years,” said Professor Jens Ellermann, President of the Board of Directors of NanoFlowcell AG in a press statement.
