You aren’t going to learn much by watching this video. There are no revelations about new racing technology, no scoops, no magical pieces of software. But gosh is it beautiful.
The video sees McLaren F1 drivers Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso taking the wheel of a contemporary F1 car and the legendary Ayrton Senna’s MP4/4 and thrashing them around a track.

Combine the far more exciting sounds of the MP4/4 with Senna’s voice philosophically overlaid on sections of the footage and you get something that results in some pretty conflicting emotions.
Part of you will reminded at the astonishing technological advances F1 has made in the 21 years since Senna was delighting racing fans around the world. Another part of you however, will yearn for a return to that period, when F1 cars were the loudest, brashest and most exciting racing machines on the planet.
That’s a pretty complex set of feelings for something that’s really just a plug for a Tag Heuer watch.
