This weekend saw some of the lesser-watched motorsports series take centre stage including the legendary Petit Le Mans event in the USC series. The FIA World RallyCross Championship headed over to Turkey while the NASCAR Sprint Cup circus took to Dover.
But before we get onto that, there was a very muddy event in Corsica we’ll highlight.

So without any more ado, here are the best moment of this weekend’s motorsport action.
1. WRC: Latvala hits wet Tour of Corsica hard, wins spectacularly
The teams were rather annoyed at the terrible Corsican weather this weekend, but that didn’t stop Latvala from taking victory ahead of a stellar Elfyn Evans.
2. RallyX: Hansen steals points back from struggling Solberg in Istanbul
Timmy Hansen got one over his RallyX rival Petter Solberg this weekend, when the Swede took his third victory of the season when Solberg failed to qualify for the final race.
Andreas Bakkerud finished second while Johan Kristoffersson came in third.
3. NASCAR: Harvick wins at Dover to advance in the Chase
Kevin Harvick’s bad luck has finally run out after he dominated at Dover International Speedway this weekend to take the win and qualify for the next round of the Chase.
Kyle Busch finished second while Dale Earnhardt Jr. rounded out the podium.
4. United SportsCar: Tandy (in a GT car!) wins drenched, shortened Petit Le Mans
In a massive shock, a GT car won Petit Le Mans outright ahead of a prototype machine. That’s a lot like a Minor League baseball team slapping the Red Sox across the face with a victory.
Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet, the former one of the three winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, took victory in a Porsche at a ridiculously wet Road Atlanta.

5. World Superbikes: Rea does another double at Magny Cours
Jonathan Rea has make the World Superbikes Series boring again, taking another double at the French Magny Cours circuit in central France this weekend. While the weather might’ve been changeable, it seems that the Northern Irishman just can’t stop winning.
