US automaker Tesla has been on a roll over the past few years, and everyone is eagerly anticipating the “affordable” Model 3 car, set for release next year.
But founder Elon Musk has teased two product reveals over the weekend. Musk claims that the first will be “unexpected by most”.

It’s expected that the Tesla/Solar City unveiling will see a solar roof with Powerwall battery and charger integrated revealed.
How do we know this? Well, Musk said so himself last month.

But it’s the “unexpected” announcement that has us intrigued (we are a motoring website after all).
Twitter users are speculating that we could either be seeing a Model 3 hatchback, electric motorcycle or even a truck/van.
Other reports suggest we’ll be seeing more Model 3 details, a drastic update on its self-driving plans or a new Tesla Roadster.
Interestingly enough, Elektrek noted that Tesla has discontinued the base model 60kWh Model X, increased the base price of the Model X as a result. Perhaps making space for a cheaper model, such as a Model 3?
Well, we’ll have to wait until next Monday for all to be revealed…
