Fire Emblem Heroes is out, expect congestion
Fire Emblem Heroes has quietly launched around the world, being the second mobile game from Nintendo. But players aren’t exactly having a trouble-free experience in the first few hours of its launch.
Once you’ve downloaded the initial install file (weighing in at under 50MBs), you’ll need to download an 80MB+ file via the game itself.
But it seems like players are reporting slow download times and server issues in this regard. Over here at Gearburn, we’ve received numerous communication error popups, as well as slow downloads over fibre (definitely upwards of 15 minutes).
Fire Emblem Heroes has stealthily launched on mobile, but expect a few gremlins at this stage
It’s also worth noting that once you’ve played through the first few missions, you’ll need to download a 319MB file — so sit tight.
Nevertheless, one would expect the congestion to ease a little in the next few days.
In any event, you can expect the familiar strategic-RPG trappings that the series is known for, albeit distilled for mobile platforms.
Fire Emblem Heroes is free to download on Android and iOS, although it does have in-app purchases varying from R26 to R1052.
