If you’ve been checking out the OS X Mountain Lion developer preview, you might be craving that beautiful new desktop background.

Developers can get the preview version today, but Mountain Lion is scheduled for a public North American summer release. It should cost around $29.99 and will probably be available as download-only – much like the release of Lion last year.
