Twitter keeps abreast of National Cleavage Day
Once a year, brassiere manufacturer Wonderbra sponsors National Cleavage Day in celebration of, well, cleavage. This year, it’s gained enough attention to trend globally on Twitter.
The overwhelming sentiment seemed to be positive and the mood light-hearted:
Today is National Cleavage Day? Awesome. I’ve been working on these manboobs for a while now – time to unleash the boys! *buys low-cut top*

Some even brought out their cameras to show the efforts they were taking in support of the day:

Even Mrs Stephen Fry joined in on the action:
So sorry, dears – @StephenFry insisted I post this private photo on National Cleavage Day twitpic.com/936sq5

Some were, however, a little more cynical:
It’s National Cleavage Day. They were going to call it “National-Spurious-PR-Driven-Campaign-That-Demeans-Women” but it was too long.

SERIOUSLY?! National Cleavage Day MY ARSE. When do we get National TROUSER SNAKE Day?!? Yeah. That’s what I thought. SOD OFF.
— Caroline Hirons (@CarolineHirons) March 30, 2012
According to Wikipedia, National Cleavage Day was started by the South African arm of Wonderbra along with a few other sponsors. It appears, however, that the day is being celebrated simultaneously in the UK.
