Web users the world over love StumbleUpon as a procrastination tool. Now the social discovery engine has become the latest big name to launch a Facebook Timeline app.
In an official blog post, the company says it hopes to bring “the things in life you’re most passionate about…to life” with the app.

Stumbleupon claims its app is like a number of other Timeline apps in as much as it groups your activity “in a more streamlined format”.
Rather than being displayed one at a time, it says, your likes will be grouped together.
StumbleUpon says the app will also post updates “when you follow a new Interest, Channel, or Stumbler”. It also says it won’t activate the app without your permission.
While everyday Facebook users may not be particularly enthralled with Timeline, big name players such as Spotify, Pandora, and UK newspaper The Guardian have flocked to it.
StumbleUpon was founded in 2001 by four post-graduate university students in Canada. It exists in web form, as a toolbar for Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Internet Explorer and as an app on iOS, Android, and the Amazon app store.
Late last year the discovery engine claimed to have around 20-million users. Just a couple of months earlier it announced that it had gone past the 25-billion stumble mark.
